Things happen...
Well, went to a baseball game on Wednesday night. The Jays lost to the Twins...badly. Despite this though, I had a good time.
I made a person out of copper at work. At first I had in an "action" pose while standing, but I changed him, so now he's Curling Copper guy.
Its pretty cute. And kinda funny.
I also went to Velvet Underground last night. Drank. Danced. I hurt so...
In other news, I talked to my Mother last night as well.
Apparently, I MIGHT be an Aunt in the not too distant future. Now you're probably wondering, which of my brothers would have managed the near-impossible seeming task of getting laid. Phillip, strangely enough. But I add the qualifier MIGHT, because the mother of the possible mother-to-be is pushing for an abortion.
Crazy. I'm pro-choice for sure. I mean, she definitely has the right to choose whatever she wants with her body. I have to right to stop her, or even try. But I can't help but wonder about the sort of judgement I would make about her afterwards. I mean, I understand the reasoning why. She's young, unmarried, no job, my brother is more or less unemployed.
But another part of me is kinda wondering a)how she got knocked up in the first place, b)if she had reason to believe that she may have been pregnant earlier (like birth control failure), why she didn't explore the other options that exist...and then there's a whole irresponsibility thing. And even then you can still choose to put the child up for adoption.
I'm not sure how I feel about this. I mean, there are cases where I can see abortion being justified. I'm just not sure I think that this is one of those cases.
Sorry for ranting.
And on top of this Edward has been expelled. Apparently he hasn't been to classes at all this semester.
He still needs 17 credits to graduate, and right now they're saying that his only option to graduate is CIS. 17 credits from CIS? He's more likely to win the lottery I think.
Ah, well. I guess its been interesting times at the 'ol homestead.
So lots to write about today I guess.
Addition:
Oh, yeah, Mom also found out that Andrew has been coming to Toronto for testing, but not for what. Yet. I don't know what he's hoping to achieve by not telling her. I mean, its probably going to be more painful in the long run.
