Howdy

Not much new.

I'm beginning to think that Andy(?) from Shanks likes me. Not sure. I did insert the less than subtle "my girlfriend" comment, but a lot of people don't take my meaning literally.

He just seems to like chatting with me for like an hour or more... Maybe I'm seeing something thats not there.

Anyhoo, I think tonight I will set aside some time to do some writing. I've been rather neglectful of it recently, so I think I will try and get back into the groove.

Welp, thats about it I think.

Oh, Tyler, if you want to have the jist of what I've been up to I do tend to post regularily on my blog, and it has most info.

But you should give me a call sometime, I dunno if you have my new number...?

Um...I may actually start a new blog sometime soon, because Gryph's blog kinda made me think a writing blog is a good idea.

Stuff...

I dunno, nothing much going on.

Got a reply message from a girl whose blogger was about a book she is writing. It looks very interesting. I will add a link to her blog soon, when I have time. (I'm at work right now...) And apparently, she is a fellow Ontarian. Go Ontario!

Got me thinking about some of my work, which I have been neglecting.

Work is going well. Still having a debate as to whether I should look into a trade. Because ultimately, with a trade I could get a job anywhere, and that might be a concern in a few months.

On the other hand I am becoming quite entrenched here as a sales associate. People are even asking for me and a lot of the guys know me here and are really cool. That and it seems like a cool job, so I am somewhat loathe to leave it if I don't have to.

Ah, the dilemma's of life.

What happens to subway cars?

The subway train stopped in front of me with a squeal. I turned and said goodbye to Mark.
"See you tomorrow." adding a half hearted wave. I quickly walk through as the doors begin to close. Luckily today it is not too crowded, and I find a place to sit without too much trouble. I sit down near one of the doors.

The flourescant lights are bright, making up for the darkness of the tunnels between the stations. I can only make out vague details of the wall as the train passes by. The wall is bare and non-descript, like what I envision prisons are like.

Light invades from the next station. It is bright compared to the tunnel, but it still seems dark somehow. Its almost like no matter how many lights you have, the sub-terrainian esence still pervades.

You can always tell when you're underground or deep inside a building. No matter how much light, how much air is circulating, how much life there is, instinctively you understand you're not in somewhere open, somewhere real.

After a few stations, I transfer to another route. This one is just like the first. I feel cut off from reality. Even the other passengers don't seem real. People enter, stay for a very finite amount of time and then go, as though they were never there, they leave it all behind like it never existed.

They don't notice the sounds, the smells, the feel of the train moving and rocking or even really look at the machine which they are temporarily situated. They don't even lok at the other passengers out of some misplaced sense that they don't want someone else to look back at them. Afraid to acknowledge strangers.

Its almost like the subway doesn't really exist. Or that it does temporarily, as long as we need it to. When we enter, we don't really acknowledge it, we pretend we're somewhere else, or simply ignore it. It is a tiresome necessity of city living. We go on without really paying any attention to it.

Where do they go? How many times will the subway car I am on travel back and forth on this route? Will I ever chance on riding in the same car again? With the same people? Or will this car never be used for weeks. Sometimes I think too much.

Election Day

Have you voted? If you're reading this, I hope so, because the polls are almost closed.

I voted. No I am not going to tell you who I voted for. So forget about asking.

Lets hope the Conservatives don't get in. Either that or Stephen Harper has a heart attack. And half of the Conservative party.

Which isn't likely, but we can hope, right?

Anyhoo,

Happy Voting Day Canada!

Hope things get better for a change...

Maybe I should start watching what I drink...

I got totally drunk on Saturday night. I went to a birthday party for one of my Telepoll co-workers.

I smoked a little too much. And drank a little too much.

Ended up throwing up...THANK YOU MEAGHAN for getting me the bucket and watching me...

Its like the 2nd time in 2 weeks I've been wasted. Which is a little too often for my tastes.

I've been on a low sugar diet of sorts. I was mostly curious what would happen, because in a typical day I do tend to eat a fair amount of sugar, so after week 1 I have found that I get light headed about noonish, despite eating. Hungry more often too. Its kinda weird.

And today I am not smoking as well. SO in general I'm feeling kinda off. Maybe I shouldn't do experiments on myself...

Anyhoo...

Dazed and confused...

Well, I went to Cobourg yesterday for my doctors appointment. Had some good times with Gabe. We watched Garfield. Dr's appt went okay, it was just a physical. Though he did tell me that the kidney stone that I have is too big to pass, but they aren't going to do anything about it unless it starts bothering me. So I have to wait and see if I end up in some agony before they may do something about it. Exciting, neh?

Read Andrew's blog, and while it does arouse some sort of curiosity, it raises more concern. Like what do scars have to do with it? And our parents? Because I really am beginning to think whatever it is, he's blaming other people and things for his own problems, like he always tends to do. Maybe I'm wrong, wouldn't be the first time, won't be the last, but unless I know thats what I am inclined to think.

Anyhoo, thats all for the moment.

Welp...

The house warming party was a success. We had TONS of people over. Not too much mess, only one person threw up outside of the toilet (though I had to clean THAT up, which was nasty) We had a pile of booze on hand for the event and we still have a fair bit.

Thanks to anyone who showed up. (who reads this, which I think is no one...sadly...)

Anyways, I had fun (with exception to the cleaning up vomit...) got loaded, kicked the stragglers out around 5AM. Woke up around 10 with a hangover, took some water and tylenol, went back to bed, woke up feeling okay.

At 6pm I went to David's B-day party at Hernando's Hideaway, which was good food and fun. Hit David and Debbie's place afterwards with everyone else, where we chatted and ended up playing a game of Cranium.

Meggo came along too, so she finally got to meet Mark, Maggie, David and Debbie. I believe she'd met everyone else before that.

Anyways, looking into some night-schooling options. And sort of looking into an apprenticeship of some sort. We'll see.

Anyways, been some interesting times lately.

Wish I had my cell phone.

I have a ton of time to kill right now.

Talk you crazy folks later.

Nonsensical is fun.

The title is unrelated to this post. Maybe.

Anyhoo, Housewarming this Saturday, sent out e-mails to this regard, but posting on here for those of you who read this.

Hung out with Andrea on Sunday, which was interesting. Showed her the new place which she liked (I think)

Um...getting a couch on Friday. Got postponed, but well in time for the party. I'll see what other comfy or even semi-comfy stuff I can find for sitting purposes, beside chairs. We have a pile of chairs.

Anyhoo, hopin' to see you there!

Being a little sneaky...

Well, I am making this post from work, trying to make myself look busy when I am not. They're easy-going here anyways.

New place is looking well.

Meggo got me a SuDoku book, so I can do more Sudokus!

Sometime I gotta get me a logic puzzle book and a decent crossword book. Though I really should be working on my writing. I haven't written much lately, granted I have been working two jobs and more than a little busy. But thats a bit of a poor excuse.

And I need to finish two paintings. 3 now that I think of it.

Met some old high school friends of Meaghan's last night, which was interesting. At random at the pub next to our place. "The Pour House" (I love plays on words!)

I'm free all weekend, so for all of you who are also not busy, gimme a call! I haven't hung out with some people for some time, so I'd love to see ya!

I didn't notice the other day that I have made over 100 posts now! I was thinking that I was going to do something for my 100th post, but I missed it. Maybe I'll do something at random instead.

Anyhoo, gotta run.

House warming and signs of construction....

Well, last night Anita, Meggo and I went to move some chairs into our place. And on the way we saw one of those big orange "Construction" signs. Anita asked if we thought we should grab it (it was lying on the ground, and in rough condition too)
And despite Meggo's protests, we grabbed it.

So thus far, we have a decor theme of "cheap or free". Thats not entirely true. But mostly.

Word is the house warming is happening on NEXT Saturday, so whomsoever can make it, please do. Everyone shoud stop by and visit.

Later all!

Stealing milk cartons, moving and New Years

Well, the move was a relative success. Thank you Phil once again for your help, we couldn't have done it without you, and you wouldn't have likely gotten loaded and fed with sushi without us. A mutually beneficial relationship, I'd say. (Now I can't quite say you were loaded, but you did seem a little drunk)

So we officially live on Dupont now, which is a cool spot. We have a 3 bedroom, with a deck and a kick-ass pizza place downstairs. There's also a cool pub next door. We just seem to lack for furniture. LOL! The bedrooms are crammed, but we have only the TV in the livingroom!

New Years was alright. Went to a party I didn't particularily want to go to, and ended up kissing Geoff for some unknown reason. I think I was prodded to by someone else. Geoff is not on my list of favourite people, some may even say far from it. Though I will say he is the first person I have ever kissed who has had a tongue ring...wait...or did that Venezualan (whichever...) have one some to think of it? Well, in any case he's the first male at any rate... So kind of a so/so New Years. I got really loaded on free booze. But I kissed Geoff. Ewwwwwwww. Men.

Anyhoo, the other day, since we now have Anita living here, we went and did some group grocery shopping, and while we were out, stole some milk cartons, to hopefully make up for our lack of furniture. LOL!

It was kinda fun, we're getting settled in. There's a house warming party on Saturday, from what I understand, so those interested in seeing the place are more than welcome to stop on by. Phone me to get the address if you're interested.

Though I can't promise we'll have many places to sit at this point...LOL! Actually we got some chairs the other day.

Lates all!!
